Business overview:
Stirol is Ukraine’s largest producer of nitrogen fertilizers, and other products include polystyrene, pharmaceuticals, fodder additives, and more. The plant’s boasts an effective annual ammonia capacity of 1.5mmt (half of which is required to produce urea and ammonia nitrate at full capacity), urea of 1.0mmt, and ammonia nitrate of 0.7mmt. The company exports about 80% of its output, mainly to CIS countries and Europe, and controls more than 2% of worldwide ammonia and urea exports. Stirol's major input is natural gas (around 1.2tcm per 1t of the primary product, ammonia).
