22.04.10 BG Capital becomes Warsaw Stock Exchange IPO Partner
BG Capital is pleased to announce it signed an agreement with the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) to become a full WSE IPO Partner. BG Capital will now partner with the WSE to promote the exchange’s services, and the agreement creates a partnership between BG Capital and the WSE that will operate as a vehicle to help Ukrainian companies list shares on the leading Polish trading platform.
“We are currently working on a number of deals to list shares in Ukrainian companies and we are looking at the Warsaw Stock Exchange as the best prospective platform for them,” said Nick Piazza, CEO of BG Capital. According to Piazza, the WSE is an ideal partner both due to its leading position in Europe among IPO destinations and the suitability of the regulatory and financial requirements for Ukrainian placements.
In 2009, the WSE was a leader in Europe by the number of IPOs conducted and the amount of capital raised (EUR 1.6 billion), second only to the NYSE Euronext (EUR 1.9 billion).
